Horrible

We were very excited about the elliptical. Once we had it assembled (which took about 2 hours) we were set to see how it works. Once we stepped on it it made a horrible grinding noise. I had to wait all weekend to get the company on the phone as they are closed Sat and Sunday. I called Monday morning and it took customer service 47 mins to pick up the phone. After troubleshooting the issue the lady on the phone informs me it is a manufacturing defect and that the part we need is on back-order and has been for a while now. She stated she had no idea when it will be back in stock. She then proceeds to tell me they will call me when they can set a date for it to be repaired.... Keep in mind this is a brand new out of the box machine with no repair date in sight. I tell her this is unacceptable and she says that is all they can do and that is my only option.... I tell her it sure isn't! I bought it from amazon and amazon will take it back so don't worry about it. At this point she gets very rude and hangs up on me. I call amazon who is amazing and arranges for pick up and refund. Two days later I get an email stating that my parts are being shipped to my house. I call proform back and wait 55 mins for anyone to pick up the phone. I then get the run around about it all and told well if it shows up then just refuse shipment! Seven days later I get a call from a local repair company saying proform has requested a repair for the machine. This company is disorganized and has horrible customer service. I never would buy anything from them again!

Good machine.

Elliptical arrived in good condition. Took about 4 hours with two people to put together. Went together reasonably well. Very sturdy machine. Works well. My only complaints are an odor that smells a bit skunky. I'm sure this will dissipate in time. I'm not really impressed with the ifit interface. The ipad holder requires the case to be removed and it is hard to take the ipad out. Would be great if you wanted to leave an ipad there all of the time.

Good Product

Everything was good about this product, except it did not come with the Ipad holder. I will ask the manufacturer to send me one. Set up time took about 3 hours for us. Not for the faint at heart, but definitely doable.
